First farm in Mersing

Humble and with no experience other than the knowledge gathered, the first farm was constructed with lots of advise from the seniors. We engaged a few other farms and visited them and finally, worked with JPH to conclude that the design we had was feasible.

This is the result of the farm in its phases of construction.

We learnt that the surrounding area is full of warthogs (babi hutan) from the nearby forest. Therefore, the perimeter fencing was built hardier than normal. Even the base was cemented to prevent any warthogs from digging underneath the fencing.

Final inspection before bringing in the livestock intended for trading. At that time, the livestock of choice by the market was sheep for Akikah.

Proper conduits and electrical wiring standards were adhered to in order to avoid livestock from accidental electrical shocks.

As you can see, the height below the housing unit was built with sufficient headroom for the staff to tend to the daily cleaning and collection of faeces.

Although the farm had government water source, we constructed a well to reduce expenses for water supply. The well water is available throughout the year and is good for growing crops and cleaning.
